Kindle prices for every Amazon store
KDP's 70% royalty needs your ebook priced inside a band in each store's own currency, and the bands aren't the same: since 7 July 2026 it's $2.99 to $12.99 on Amazon.com but £1.77 to £12.99 in the UK and ¥250 to ¥1,650 in Japan. Put in your Amazon.com price and get a price for every store that stays inside its band, then check the prices you actually set.
| Store | 70% band | Suggested | Your price | Royalty option |
|---|
The suggestions aren't exchange-rate conversions. Each one sits at the same place in its store's 70% band as your Amazon.com price does in the US band, rounded to a price that looks like a price, so they won't drift as exchange rates move. Change any of them: the check runs on what's in "Your price".
Things to know
- If you leave a store to KDP, it converts your Amazon.com price with an exchange rate and may update it as rates move. A price you type for a store stays where you put it.
- For sales to readers in Brazil, Japan, Mexico and India, the 70% royalty also needs the book in KDP Select.
- Sales to readers outside KDP's list of 70% countries earn 35% whatever the price.
- In the UK and Europe your ebook price is what readers pay, with VAT inside it. If you set different prices in the euro stores, a reader who can buy from more than one is charged the lowest.
- KDP lists Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and Greece as countries where an ebook has to sell at the same price at every retailer.
