This forum is for people who write and publish their own books, and for the people who read them. That's most of it.
The boards split up roughly like this:
- General is for anything, and it's where readers talking about what they read (and what they want more of) belongs.
- Writing and publishing is the practical side. Formatting, covers, pricing, metadata, ISBNs, all the stuff nobody tells you until you've got it wrong.
- Industry news is where I'll post things that change how indie authors get paid, distributed or treated, always with a link to the original source.
- Scam alerts is what it sounds like. There's a lot of it about.
Ground rules are short. Be decent. Argue with the idea, not the person. If your book is relevant to a thread, mention it. If it isn't, don't.
When I post news I'll link where it came from. If I get something wrong, tell me and I'll fix it. I'd much rather be corrected than confidently wrong.
And readers, you're not guests here. Authors hear plenty from other authors. They don't hear nearly enough from you.
