Radish has closed, plus a reminder on the new Smashwords and IngramSpark rates

Radish, the serial fiction app, shut down on 31 December. Good e-Reader had the details ahead of the closure:

If you had work there, now is the time to check you have your own copy of every chapter you posted. And if you write serials anywhere, give your readers a way to follow you that doesn't depend on the app, whether that's a newsletter, a simple website or a list of where else you publish. A reader who only knows you through one app loses you when the app goes.
Two quick reminders, both covered here in December:
- The Smashwords store's new rates took effect on 1 January: 75% on ebooks at US$2.99 and up, 40% below that.
- IngramSpark's changes land on 1 February. The market access fee goes from 1.5% to 1.875%, and print costs go up for many books. If you have print titles there, this month is the time to rerun the per-copy numbers.
