Make your book files
Drop in your manuscript the way you wrote it: Word, RTF, OpenOffice or LibreOffice, or plain text. It finds your chapters and shows you the table of contents, so you can fix any chapter names before anything's made. Then it makes an EPUB ebook, the file every store takes, with a contents page that actually links to your chapters, and a print-ready interior PDF for your paperback or hardcover.
It's all done in your browser. Your manuscript isn't uploaded to Bervet and nothing is kept. Free for members.
1. Your manuscript
No file to hand? (three chapters in Word from The Signal by R. S. Breed).
2. Your table of contents
Untick anything that shouldn't be in the ebook, and fix any chapter names. These names are exactly what readers will see in the contents.
3. Your book
Cover (optional)
Wrong size? Resize it first.
One line per paragraph. Leave it empty to leave the page out.
4. Print book (optional)
For a paperback or hardcover: a print-ready interior PDF with your chapters starting on right-hand pages, a contents page with page numbers, and margins set for your page count and printers.

Getting the best result
Chapters are found from your headings. If you used Word's "Heading 1" style for chapter titles, that's what's used. If you didn't, lines like "Chapter 7", "Prologue" or "XII" are used instead. If it finds nothing, give each chapter title the Heading 1 style in Word (Home tab, Styles) and try again.
Italics and bold come across from Word, RTF and OpenOffice files. A PDF only has the words, so use the Word file if you have it.
Scene breaks marked with *** or # in your manuscript become a centred break in the ebook.
Check it before you publish. Open the EPUB in your ebook app, or upload it to your store's previewer (KDP has one), and page through the contents. Then check your cover with the ebook cover checker.
